Former Galatasaray striker Ümit Karan has said the Turkish club would finish sixth in the league without Victor Osimhen.

Karan made the remarks after Galatasaray drew 2-2 with Çorum in the Turkish Super Lig on Friday, with Osimhen scoring both goals for the home side.

Speaking on the SporON YouTube channel, Karan said the Nigeria international had become central to Galatasaray’s performances.

“What if it weren’t for Osimhen,” Karan said. “Osimhen is the team all by himself, he’s carrying the team single-handedly. Take Osimhen out of this team, and Galatasaray would finish sixth in the league.”

Osimhen will look to build on his latest performance when Galatasaray face Erzurumspor in their next match next week.
