Bournemouth’s pre-season friendly against Real Betis ended in a 2-2 draw in Seville, with Alex Scott and Betis winger Antony sent off after a first-half confrontation.

The flashpoint came shortly before half-time after Betis midfielder Nelson Deossa kicked the ball at Bournemouth defender Bafode Diakite after being fouled.

Players from both teams became involved in a brawl, with Scott and Antony pushing each other before the referee showed both players red cards.

Marcus Tavernier gave Bournemouth the lead in the 41st minute, but Cucho Hernandez equalised for Betis in the 57th minute.

Evanilson restored Bournemouth’s advantage before Pablo Fornals scored a late equaliser for the La Liga side.

Bournemouth will face German side Mainz in their final pre-season friendly on 15 August before opening their Premier League campaign against Manchester City on 23 August.
